Confirmed Case of COVID-19 at Taylor School

On April 12, 2021, Manitoba Public Health officials advised Taylor School of confirmed case(s) of COVID-19 that were in the school on April 6 and 7, 2021. These cases were not believed to be acquired at school.

This information has been sent via email to Taylor School families – please check your accounts, including your junk folders.

School administration is working closely with Public Health officials and following their recommendations. Close contacts connected to the case have been identified and advised to self-isolate. Anyone who is a close contact will be notified by Public Health. If you have not been contacted you are not considered a close contact.

Please note that Swan Valley School Division is not permitted to release the name or any identifying information about the confirmed case of COVID-19 to any member of the school, community or media.

Out of an abundance of caution and to allow the school to do extensive additional cleaning and disinfecting Taylor School will be closed on Tuesday April 13th. Taylor School will be open on Wednesday April 14th, 2021. School officials will be contacting those affected for remote learning by Wednesday.

Swan Valley School Division will continue to follow the recommendations of Public Health during this pandemic.
