The Council of the Town of Swan River met on Tuesday, Frebruary 19th, 2019 at 7:30 pm in the Town Council Chambers with Mayor Jacobson presiding and Councillors Wintoniw, Delaurier, Whyte, Friesen, Moriaux, and Gray present.

WHEREAS Valley Lions Recycling Inc. has incurred a deficit in the amount of $68,678.95 for the 2018 year due to
– Large decerease in commodity prices, particularly cardboard
– Large increase of mixed material fees
– Increase costs of transportation of finished product, and
WHEREAS the Town of Swan RIver’s portion of total recycling collected and processed equals 81.6%, therefore be it
RESOLVED the TOwn of Swan River cover the 2018 deficit incurred by the Valley Lions Recycling Inc. in the amount of $55,629.95.
