Swan River RCMP Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Collision

On April 12, 2018, at approximately 5:20 pm, Swan River RCMP received a report of a pedestrian struck in the 1200 block of Main Street in Swan River.

A 41-year-old female pedestrian from the Shoal River First Nation was struck by a westbound pickup truck as she was crossing Main Street. She was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Alcohol is not a factor in the collision. The 85-year-old male driver of the vehicle, from Swan River, was not injured in the collision.

A RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
