Close to $80,000 Raised at Sled for Eternity 2018

Submitted by: Kim Lowes | We had an absolutely amazing day at our 2nd annual Swan River Sled for Eternity on February 10, 2018!

We had 68 registered riders out on the trails and we were blown away by the faithfulness of our fundraisers with our final total coming in at close to $80,000 raised. Folks from all over came to enjoy the day with sledders taking part from Winnipeg, Niverville, Carmen, Birch River, Minnitonas, Yorkton and of course Swan River just to name a few.

An amazing windup dinner was held following the ride which was catered by Jamie Wasyliciw and her team.

At the dinner the checkpoint and fundraising prizes were awarded with the top prize of a 2017 Ski Doo Freeride 800R going to Greg Penner of Blumenort.

All proceeds from this event go to supporting the program at the Adult & Teen Challenge women’s centre for those looking for help to overcome their life controlling addictions. Over the years we have had folks come from Dauphin, Cowan, Minnitonas, and Swan River looking for help, and money like we raised this weekend goes a long way in helping them.

A huge thanks to all who helped make the day such a big success!
