Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Swan Valley West, held in the Council Chambers at 216 Main Street West, Swan River, Manitoba, this 9th day of January, 2018 at 7:03 p.m.

WHEREAS a 5-year Plan has been prepared by the Municipality of Swan Valley West for the Benito Utility Project commencing in early spring 2018;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Core Infrastructure Renewal Plan be forwarded to The Manitoba Water Services Board for their approval.

RESOLVED that, in accordance with Subsection 365(2) of The Municipal Act, the Council for the Municipality of Swan Valley West does hereby declare the year 2017 as the designated year, and require all taxes in arrears for the year 2016 and prior, including any and all interest, to be sold at the Tax Sale Auction to be held on October 12th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at 216 Main Street West, Swan River, Manitoba; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Taxervice shall be hired to manage the Tax Sale for the Municipality during the Fiscal Year 2018.

WHEREAS the owner of SE ¼ of 6-37-27W has made an application for subdivision on his property;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Municipality of Swan Valley West does hereby approve the subdivision of 95.22 acres to create a rural residential yard site on the aforesaid property.

WHEREAS Council has received an application to subdivide a 17.8-acre parcel on the NW ¼ Sec.11-38-27W in the Agriculture/Rural Area, with an existing yard site;
AND WHEREAS the By-Law provides for the location of a non-farm dwelling as a permitted use, with a maximum site area of 10 acres;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a Variance be obtained allowing a non-farm dwelling with a site area greater than 10 acres in the Agricultural/General Zone.

RESOLVED that the Swan River Fire Department Response Report for the month of December 2017 shall be received by the Council for the Municipality of Swan Valley West.

RESOLVED that the Council for the Municipality of Swan Valley West does hereby approve the application for Licence to Construct Water Control Works on the SE ¼ of 10-36-29 WPM;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Public Works Foreman shall be authorized to obtain any necessary approval from local landowners and sign said application on behalf of the Municipality.

WHEREAS Section 163 of The Municipal Act provides that “a council may adopt an interim operating budget to have effect only until the Council adopts the operating budget for the fiscal year;“
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Interim Operating Budget for the Municipality, including all Rural, Urban and At-Large Expenditures, shall be hereby adopted for the year 2018 as follows:
