Well, another Relay for Life is in the books! The weather on June 2, 2017 cooperated, track conditions were great and everyone seemed to have had lots of fun!

The evening at the fairgrounds was jammed pack with some speeches, personal stories, and high energy activities, with the “Stay Strong” Tug of War and the Frozen T-Shirt Contest being the usual favourites. Lots of laughter, some tears and memories made. The fundraiser bbq supper was sold out and the penny auction drew a ton of attention due to the incredible donations by our local sponsors.

A big thank you to all of our sponsors, teams and volunteers that made it happen! The Swan River Valley never fails to support events such as this.

The Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), will be happy to know a little over $47,000 was raised with a few more donations coming in!! The money raised will be used to continue advancements in cancer treatment, detection and prevention for Manitobans. Our planning committee is so thankful for everyone’s help and continued support!
