Taylor School would like to say a big “Thank You” to the community who supported another very successful Fun Fest on Friday, June 2, 2017.

The students had a great time and we are now that much closer to funding a new playground structure for Taylor School and Legion Park.

For those of you that don’t know, the playground we have looks good from a distance, but close up, it is a different story. We have had to remove a number of parts of the structure; for example, the tire tunnel and the glider, because they were broken and unsafe. This past year maintenance replaced the platforms and many of the steps with wood decking because the iron grid flooring had disintegrated. Unfortunately, individual pieces of a playground structure cannot be replaced, so our PAC funding project is focused on a complete new one for the benefit of the whole community. How lucky we are to have such a committed Parent Advisory Council!

By 6:00 pm, Fun Fest was in full swing, with enthusiastic attendance and lots of smiles and laughter.

There were games, face painting, karaoke, and the ever popular dunk tank, lots of treats at the concession stand, fabulous prizes for all, and best of all, so many happy, excited young faces around the room.

Thank you again to our sponsors, and to everyone that came together to make Fun Fest the magical community tradition it always is!
