Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of the Rural Municipality of Mountain held Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017 in the R.M. Council Chambers in Birch River, Manitoba.

The meeting was called to order at 9:58 A.M. by Reeve Marvin Kovachik, quorum being present.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby amend the Building Permit Fee Schedule as per Schedule ‘A’ attached hereto.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby accept and approve the Unaudited Financial Statement for the Year Ended December 31, 2016 as presented.

WHEREAS Fire Department Purchasing Policy states that all purchases of the Fire Department must be authorized by Council in advance;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain approve the purchase requests as per Schedule ‘A’ attached hereto.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby approve work orders #011/17 to #014/17 attached hereto.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby enter into a Rental Agreement for Part SE 31-39-25W, term and conditions as attached hereto in Schedule ‘A’;
AND THAT the CAO and Reeve be authorized to sign on behalf of the municipality.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby accept the offer to purchase Lot #1 Block #2 Plan#1345, [EXC THE WLY 196 FEET]
in Mafeking, MB [Roll #302064] from L. McCulloch in the amount of $1565.00;
plus $465 legal and administration cost [1 parcel]; OR
the purchaser will retain their own legal services with transfer completed within ninety days;
Subject to the following additional Terms and Conditions:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby authorize the request of Swan Valley Chamber of Commerce for a donation towards a summer student in the amount of $720.00, to operate the Tourist Information Centre.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby accept the request of Swan Valley Chamber of Commerce for a contribution towards representation at the Thompson Trade Show in the amount of $500.00.
