Rumors are flying after concerns about the safety of the Benito Municipal water supply were raised over social media yesterday (November 28, 2016), citing staffing issues at the water plant.


In a statement to ValleyBiz, David Minish, Media Spokesperson for the Municipality of Swan Valley West, said,”There is no concern as to the safety of the Municipal water in Benito. There is no boil water advisory in effect. There is no change in the condition of the water.”

Minish commented that the water system in Benito is being run by licensed, qualified personnel at this time.

“We would like to reassure the citizens of Benito that their Municipal water supply is safe.” said Minish, “It has not been put in jeopardy in any way.”
