Students were required to carry between 2 and 6 litres of water for a distance of 6 kilometers. This is the average distance many women and children in Africa must travel twice every day to access clean water. Several teachers and parents also joined in the walk.

The team’s goal was to raise $500 to provide clean water for 5 families.

Pledges were collected in advance and many people stopped along the walk to make donations.

With a few pledges still coming in, the group has already raised $1,600.00
