Swan River RCMP Respond to Fatal Collision

At approximately 5:04 a.m. on April 30, 2016 the Swan River RCMP Detachment responded to a report of a single vehicle collision approximately 3 km north of Minitonas, MB.


RCMP members arrived on scene and located four males who had all been ejected from the vehicle. All were transported to hospital with injuries. One of the males, a 27 year old from Swan River, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased earlier this morning.

The initial investigation has revealed that the vehicle was travelling southbound on a gravel road when it left the roadway, struck a hydro pole and rolled.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collision. An RCMP Traffic Analyst is assisting with the investigation.
