Maclyn Burghart Wins Gold in Hairstyling Competition

Hairstyling teach Wade A. Dale, chaperone Marylin Delaurie, and students Madison Rausch and Maclyn Burghart travel to Thompson’s UCN building to compete in the “Traditional Bridal Up Do” for Northern Skills 2016 on March 3, 2016.

After an hour and 45 minuets and lots of hard work the constantans finished their creations. Every one left the area for lunch and the judges come in to do a blind judge, using the international 39 point hairstyling system. At 2:30 the award ceremonies were held. Helen Betty Osborne School from Norway House receive 2nd and 3th place.



Winning Gold was Maclyn Burghart from Swan Valley Regional Secondary School in Swan River.

Maclyn is in grade 10 is a second generation hairstyling student from SVRSS. Her work was clean, tight, polished and creative. Congratulations to Maclyn on a job well done.
