The medical equipment fundraiser was held on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 in Bowsman.

Things kicked off at 3pm in the afternoon at the Bowsman Curling Rink when the doors opened for the Old West Saloon and Kal Tire Cowboy Steak BBQ. Attendees enjoyed live music provided by the Ken Thompson Band along with the mouthwatering steak supper served and prepared by the Bowsman Lions as well as the Kal Tire staff and volunteers.

A living bronze “Cowboy Statue” also added to the entertainment and atmosphere of the BBQ.

Later at the Bowsman Arena, announcer Emery Erickson started the show at 7pm with an action filled Wild Horse Race.

Following the Wild Horse Race, competitors from the Canadian Cowboys Association and Manitoba Rodeo Cowboys Association rode in the Saddlebronc, Bareback, and Bullriding events as well as some more Wild Horse Racing later on. Stock was provided by Prime Time Rodeos.

Watch 8 seconds of Bullarama excitement!

Spectators were also entertained by the Marcia Griffith Trick Riding Team who donated their show and took donations for Childhood Cancer Research to which the Bowsman Lions Club donated $500.

A presentation was also made for Bowsman Lion Ejner Immerkar, one of the founders of the Bowsman Bull-A-Rama, who had passed away in June and had a bull renamed “The Dane” in his honour.

The show ended with the Kal Tire Blowout $1500 Ride for Cash where the top two riders from the Saddlebronc, Bareback, and Bullriding events came back for a chance to win an extra $500 per event.
