Swan River RCMP Investigate Fatal Collision

On August 31st, 2015 at approximately 4:45 pm, officers from Swan River RCMP were called to a collision involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Main Street in Swan River.


Officers and emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist seriously injured. The driver of the pick-up truck was located at the scene.

The victim, a 30 year-old male from Prince George BC was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the truck, a 23 year old male from Kelowna BC, was uninjured.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collision. A RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
