On the evening of Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Elks Hall, Martyn Snell & his students from Avenue Music presented
“On Broadway”
to a full house.

Guests were treated to songs from Broadway musicals throughout the years, as well as a lovely selection of appetizers and non-alcoholic cocktails to make the evening complete.

Vocal students Terri Boyd, Rebecca Delaurier, Alexis Denischuk, Kayla Thelander and Emily Simpson performed songs from musicals such as My Fair Lady and Grease to Fame and Wicked. The guitar students Myron Thiessen, Devin Sterma, Sierra Makasoff, Hadley Stinson and Eden Betcher performed songs from Fiddler on the Roof and Calamity Jane. The students were accompanied on all of their selections by Martyn Snell on piano and Ryan Boyd on drums.

Contributing to the success of the evening was Bernard Bredin who acted as MC for the event, RJ from RJ sound who provided the sound system and of course Jackie Snell who was the master producer!
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Swan Valley Food Bank.

Martyn and his students would like to thank everyone who came out and supported their evening of musical entertainment and they hope that you enjoyed listening as much as they enjoyed performing for you!
