Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Swan Valley West, held in the Council Chamber at 216 Main Street West, Swan River, Manitoba on Tuesday, April 28th, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.

RESOLVED the Agenda for the Regular Meeting of Council held on Tuesday, April 28th, 2015 be adopted as presented.

RESOLVED that the minutes for the Regular Meeting of the Council for the Municipality of Swan Valley West held on April 14th, 2015 and the Special Meetings of Council held on April 17th, April 23rd, and April 24th, 2015 shall be adopted as presented.

RESOLVED that we do hereby authorize Interim-Acting CAO, Carolyn Gordon, to apply to the Province of Manitoba for an extension to December 31st, 2015 for submission of the 2014 Municipal Flood Claim.

RESOLVED that the Council does hereby approve a transfer from the RM of Swan River – Vested Sick Leave Reserve Account to the General Chequing Account for the Municipality of Swan Valley West of the full amount of funds required to pay out vested sick leave to retiring operators as reported by the Finance Clerk.

RESOLVED that the Council for the Municipality of Swan Valley West does hereby approve the payment of $325 plus GST to the Manitoba Weed Supervisor’s Association Inc. for the 2015 Membership Levy.

RESOLVED that the Council for the Municipality of Swan Valley West does hereby approve the expenditure of $350 plus taxes for beautification in Kenville and $2371.08 plus taxes for sidewalk repairs in Durban as per quotes submitted, copies of which are attached hereto.

RESOLVED that the revised list of Council of Appointments to Committees of council be approved as attached hereto.

WHEREAS thee has been a change in the members of the council for the Municipality of Swan Valley West;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we do hereby agree to appoint Councillors Blosha and Minish to sit with Councillor Neely on the Human Resources Committee and Policy Committee. Carried:

RESOLVED that a donation to the Swan Valley 4-H Beef Club shall be made in the amount of $150.00 by the Municipality of Swan Valley Wet.

RESOLVED that the Council for the Municipality of Swan Valley West do hereby agree to hire Gaylund Thomas as the relief attendant at the Benito Nuisance Ground Site with payment for services to be made in accordance with the 2015 Wage Schedule.

RESOLVED that a contest shall be held for the creation of a Logo for the Municipality of Swan Valley West, with an open invitation to all area residents and businesses to make submissions by the deadline of May 22nd, 2015, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the attached ad will be placed in the local newspaper, on the internet and throughout the municipality.

RESOLVED that Lawrence Hart shall be hired as Gravel Checker for 2015 under the terms and conditions outlined in the Employment Offer Dated April 28th, 2015.
