Veterans Hall Upgrades Tables to Meet Needs of Users

Submitted Story |
SWAN RIVER, MB Its out with the old and in with the new at Swan River’s Veterans Community Hall. For years users have complained about the old wooden tables used at events and today the hall
board announces that new tables will be in use this November.

The old tables were wood construction and required two people to carry them to and from the storage area. As well, as the tables deteriorated wood splinters became a problem for users. The new tables are a metal plastic composite which is stronger and lighter. The new tables will make their first public debut at the Calico Corner’s crafters market.

Each of the new tables costs $200 and is guaranteed for five years by the manufacturer. Te hall board needs to collect a few thousand more to finish the $12,000 project.

If you or your group would like to make a donation of any amount towards the cost of the new tables, please contact hall manager Lana Graham at (204) 281-1003.

Meanwhile, the old tables are for sale to interested buyers, those wishing to buy an old table can contact the hall.
