Swan River RCMP: Man fell from Second Story of the Valley Hotel

RCMP Media Release | On June 1, 2013 at about 11:30 pm, a 24 year old Swan River man had fallen from the 2nd story of the Valley Hotel in Swan River, Manitoba.

Swan River RCMP was conducting regular patrols when they came upon a group of people in front of the Valley Hotel. A male was seen lying on the ground. Ambulance was immediately dispatched, a medical practitioner was on scene and assisted the Parkland EMS.

The male subject was transported to the Swan River Health Centre, and subsequently Life Flighted to Winnipeg. The male was listed in critical condition, but has since stabilized, and is continuing to recover.

Through investigation, it appears that the 24 year old male had crawled through a window on the 2nd floor of the Valley Hotel and was walking about on the Main Street over hang. The male stumbled and fell to the ground below. Police do not suspect foul play.

Swan River RCMP continue to investigate.
