MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF MOUNTAIN HELD WEDNESDAY, MAY 8, 2013 IN THE R.M. OF MOUNTAIN COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN BIRCH RIVER, MANITOBA.
Members Present:

CAO Robin Wiebe was present and acted as secretary.

The meeting was called to order at 10:00 A.M. by Reeve Robert Hanson, quorum being present.

2.1 Adoption of Agenda

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Agenda for the May 8th, 2013 Regular Meeting of Council be adopted as amended.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Minutes of the April 24th, 2013 Public Hearing regarding the 2013 Financial Plan for the RM of Mountain be adopted as presented, all requirements having been complied with.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Cheque Nos. 20130459 to 20130515 and 20130517 to 20130519 be approved for payment in the amount of $71,603.02, including $6,146.92 for Councillor Indemnities, as authorized by By-Law 10/11 and that Cheque No. 20130516 for $447.93 be void.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby approve the invoice from Torfason Electric, attached as Schedule ‘A’, for renovations to the Administration Office.

WHEREAS Council received a request to create a Residential Road;

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain approve the execution of a Development Agreement with Kirby Christensen for the creation of a Residential Road to the SE 29-32-22 as per Schedule ‘A’ attached;

AND THAT the Reeve and CAO be authorized to sign on behalf of the Municipality.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the RM of Mountain and CAO hereby be authorized to attend the June District Meeting on Friday, June 14th, 2013 in Roblin, MB;

AND THAT expenses be allowed for same.

BE IT RESOVLED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain contribute $1,000 to the Swan Valley Snowmobile Association for trail clean-up resulting from windstorm damage in June 2012.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain grant the request for a letter to the provincial Taxi Board in support of the proposed Taxi Service attached in Schedule ‘A’.
