The Council of the Town of Swan River is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Joe Mante as the first ever Manager of Aquatic Services for the Richardson Recreation and Wellness Centre (RRWC).
The search for a qualified manager was undertaken by HMC Management Inc. who has been retained by the Town to assist in preparing for the overall operationalization of the RRWC, including staff
recruitment.
Mr. Mante brings over 13 years of high performing aquatic experience and qualifications to the position with his most recent job being with the City of Abbotsford, BC Parks, Recreation and Culture Department serving as an aquatic leader and assisting in the management and operation of the Abbotsford Recreation Centre.
Mr. Mante has also worked for LIT First Aid and Lifeguard Training, a private sector company that specializes in providing advanced aquatic training for aquatic personnel. As a result of this experience, Mr. Mante is well suited to commence the process of developing and retaining qualified lifeguards and aquatic instructors for the RRWC which will be required to offer a wide range of year round aquatic programs to residents of the Swan Valley.
Mr. Mante and his family look forward to moving into the Swan Valley and assisting in making the RRWC a success for the many people expected to use the soon to be opened facility.
It is expected that Mr. Mante will officially commence his duties on June 03, 2013 with the RRWC scheduled to open later on in 2013.
