Regular Meeting of the members of Council of the Town of Minitonas, held in the Council Chambers, Minitonas, Manitoba this 1st  day of August, 2012 A.D. at 7:00 p.m.

1. 	W. Robb – S. Windsor
	RESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as circulated.
	 Carried.	
2.	D. Bartel – W. Robb
	RESOLVED THAT the Public Works Report for the month of July shall be 	accepted as submitted by the Town Foreman, a copy of which is attached hereto.
	Carried.
3.	J. Caruk – D. Bartel
	WHEREAS the Public Works Employee Overtime Reports have been received & 	reviewed by Council;
	THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT all applicable overtime hours 	recorded for the month of July, 2012 shall be paid out with the August 15, 2012 	payroll or booked for future use as indicated on the aforementioned reports, copies 	of which have been attached hereto.

4.	S. Windsor – J. Caruk
	RESOLVED THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meetings of Council held on July 	4th, 2012 and July 18th, 2012 and the Public Hearing held on July 4th, 2012 shall be 	adopted as circulated.

5.	J. Caruk – D. Bartel
	RESOLVED THAT the Minitonas Town Council does hereby agree to enter into 	an agreement for contract services as attached hereto.
	Carried.
6.	D. Bartel – S. Windsor
	RESOLVED THAT the attached purchase shall be approved by the Minitonas 	Town Council.
	Carried.
7.	S. Windsor – W. Robb
	RESOLVED THAT the transfer of funds shall be authorized by the Minitonas 	Town Council as per Schedule ‘A’ attached hereto.

8.	W. Robb – S. Windsor
	WHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council has reviewed and approves the revised 	Agreement for Animal Control Services as attached hereto;
	THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to hire the 	contract services of Daryl Chartrand as Animal Control Officer for the 	Municipality under the terms and conditions of the attached agreement;
	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Mr. Chartrand shall be appointed as a 	Designated Officer for the municipality regarding all issues related to Animal 	Control and the payment for said services shall be retroactive to July 15, 2012.

9.	S. Windsor – J. Caruk
	RESOLVED THAT the Animal Control Officer’s report for the month of July 	shall be accepted as presented, a copy of which is attached hereto.
	Carried.
10.	J. Caruk – W. Robb
	WHEREAS the Town of Minitonas has an opportunity to apply for a federal grant 	to repair and enhance existing infrastructure;
	AND WHEREAS there is an urgent need to repair or replace the roof of the 	Community Hall and install proper access to the facility for mobility	disadvantaged persons;
	THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Minitonas Town Council does 	hereby authorize the CAO to submit an application to the Government of Canada 	for a grant under the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund in accordance 	with the plans and recommendations received from JCM Design Services.

11.	D. Bartel – W. Robb
	WHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council has received a request for consideration 	regarding the rental agreement for the 2nd Floor of the Minitonas Library 	Building;
	THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the agreement be amended for the 	remainder of 2012 as attached hereto.

12.	S. Windsor – J. Caruk
	RESOLVED THAT the attached ad be placed in the Star & Times with regards to 	the Public Notice for the Board of Revision for the 2012 Assessment Roll – Town 	of Minitonas, as set for November 7th, 2012;
	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the deadline for submission of appeals to 	the Secretary of the Board shall be set at October 22nd, 2012.

	RESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 10:52 pm to meet again for the next 	regular meeting of Council to be held on the 15th day of August, 2012 A.D. at 7:00 	pm.
