What a beautiful day to celebrate Canada Day 2012 with a picnic in the park!

The weather was great and there was ice cream for everyone at the Legion Park in Swan River.

The always popular Bowsman Lions train spent the day winding along the walking paths hauling its cargo of happy kids.

Canada Day tattoos, balloons and a wide selection of bouncers made the day special for the kids.

Local talent entertained the crowd as they broke in the new festival stage.

A spectacular fireworks display provided a brilliant ending to the day.
