RCMP Execute Search Warrant and Seize Drugs

RCMP Media Release | In the early evening hours of Friday, July 22, 2011, Swan River RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant on a residence in Swan River, Manitoba.

Seized was just over 30 grams of marihuana, 480 prescription pills in various weights, along with just over $3,500.00 in Canadian currency.

RCMP are still tallying the street value of the drugs seized.

As a result, 53-year-old Margo Christine Hurdman of Swan River has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. She has been released on a Recognizance to appear on August 17, 2011, in Swan River Provincial Court.

In addition, a 48-year-old man from Prince Albert ,Saskatchewan will also be facing a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana). He has been released on a Recognizance to appear August 17, 2011 in Swan River Provincial Court. The charge has yet to be formally laid.

The investigation continues.
