Submitted by: Shawn Klekta | The last few days of rainy weather have left some areas of the Swan River Valley experiencing flooding for the third time this spring causing some creeks and rivers to overflow their banks in the Minitonas and Pretty Valley area.

A clogged culvert causes water from the West Favel River to backup and run over the road near Minitonas.

A backhoe works to clear the culvert.

High water levels on the West Favel River flood the playground in Centennial Park near Minitonas.

Flood water laps at the bottom of the swings – several several feet above the ground.

Minitonas Creek floods a nearby field.

A field in the Pretty Valley has turned into a lake.
